Fabrics are sold in 50cm increments;

1 Unit = 50cm (half a meter)

2 Units= 1.0m (1 meter)

3 Units = 1.5m (1 and a half meters) 

and so on. Fabric is sent as 1 continuous piece. e.g. 5 Units = 2.5m - 1x 2.5m long piece will be cut and sent.

Ribbing is sold in 10cm increments so 1 unit = 10cm. If you order more, it will be cut in 1 continuous peice. e.g. 3 units would be 30cm in one peice.

So, Due to the nature of buying fabric off a screen and not being able to feel it before you buy it, we do accept returns and give refunds for a simple change of mind, because if you don't like it, we are not happy. I've never had this happen, but in the event you are unhappy with your fabric or purchase - get in touch and we can work something out. 

If the issue is due to a quality problem - Please take a picture of the problem, email it to us at contact@kwaintthreads.com.au and we will discuss what will happen.

Books & Accessories: Contact us within 24 hours to discuss the item and a resolution. 

Threads: We don't accept returns on opened threads, unless there is a quality issue.

Made an error in colour selection? We are happy to swap threads for other colours provided they are unopened and our originally purchased products. Post return at buyers expense.

Consumable items really can't be returned. 

We usually ship the same day as we receive orders, but when it is busy please allow up to 2 days handling before your order is sent. If you're in a hurry, select Express Shipping as those are sent on priority!

Yes you can! Just select "combine with existing unsent order" when you check out and your order will be combined with the existing order that has not been sent out yet. If your order has already been sent then you cannot combine.

Pre-orders run from the 1st to the end of the month, whether that be the 28th, 30th or 31st.

You can combine pre-orders if you have made more than 1. However, it is advised not to combine pre-orders and in stock orders unless you are okay with waiting on the entire order, as we will hold the in stock items until the pre-order arrives.

Make separate orders for In stock and Pre-order if you want your in-stock items immediately.

In your profile settings you can update your address details - also send us an email with your updated email address so that we can make sure it is changed in the entire system.

Yes, You can! Simply choose "print your own" from the pre-order menu and select which base you want. Select how many meters. Minimum is 1m. Then email me the file, with your scale preference and order number! Easy!

Local pickup is available - A Ready for pickup email will be sent to let you know it is available for pick up. Please then reply to the email or text 0432 625 087 giving your name and order # - to schedule a pick up time and day. Most orders can be ready the same day.

Pre-Payment is required for pickup orders unless prior arranged.

Orders are left in the drop box at the front door for collection.

Orders are cut, packed and sent within 2 business days.

Cotton Twill is 100% Cotton - 150 GSM (medium weight) has no stretch and is breathable - 144cm wide (previously cotton woven).

Cotton Poplin 100% Cotton - 140gsm - 150cm wide

Organic Cotton Poplin is 100% Organic Cotton GOTS Certified 120gsm (lightweight) has no stretch and is very light. 144cm Wide.

Cotton Lycra Jersey is 95% Cotton, 5% Lycra and is 4 way stretch. (The only difference between the 180/200GSM, 220/230GSM and 260GSM is the weight - with the 180/200 being a great summer knit, the 220/230 is perfect for all year round and the 260 is used more in leggings and the cooler weather.) 150cm wide.

Organic Cotton Lycra Jersey is 95% Organic Cotton with 5% Lycra GOTS Certified 230gsm with 4 way stretch. 

Double Brushed Poly 220gsm is 95% Polyester 5% Lycra and mechanically combed on both sides and has a soft fuzz feel. It has amazing drape and is good for leggings, dresses and tops.

Swimwear SPF50+ Sun Protective is 80% Polyester, 20% Lycra and 200 GSM. This fabric has an amazingly soft feel with a high saturation and is great for rashies, swimwear and dance wear.

Bamboo Lycra Knit is 95% Bamboo, 5% Lycra and 240 GSM

Rayon 155gsm is 100% Rayon with no stretch - beautiful and light with lots of drape, perfect for summer dresses. 142cm Wide.

Rayon Challis is a lighter version of the rayon - VERY light 120gsm with lots of drape.  No stretch. 

Cotton Lycra French Terry is 95% Cotton, 5% Lycra and 280 GSM. French Terry is soft and plush with a luxurious feel and is great for Winter sews, it has a looped back appearance. 152cm wide.

Organic Cotton Lycra French Terry is 95% Organic Cotton GOTS Certified, 5% Lycra in a 250gsm weight. Beautiful and soft. 

Cotton Canvas is 100% Cotton and 250 GSM. Great for bags and things that require more stability.

Cotton Interlock is 100% Cotton and 200 GSM - It is soft with a slight sideway stretch and none lengthways. Think vintage t-shirts feel.

100% Cotton French Terry 330gsm - is a non stretch 100% cotton looped back fabric, thick and warm. 

Stretch Velvet 300gsm 90% Polyester 10% Lycra - is printed in Australia! It is very soft and stretchy with a one way nap. 

Poly Spandex is 82% Polyester and 18% Lycra extra life - so it has better chlorine resistance. UPF50+!! Printed in Australia.

PUL is 100% Polyester - 170gsm - 150cm wide - soft fabric one side and a waterproof covering on the other.

Softshell is 325gsm 95% Polyester 5% Spandex - 150cm wide -  Waterproof fabric on the right side and a soft fleecy style on the inside. Does not really have any stretch.

Sports Performance - 90% Polyester 10% Spandex - 155cm wide - 300gsm. Perfect for activewear and leggings.

Peachskin is 110gsm - 148cm wide - 100% Polyester - also called Boardshorting fabric.

Stretch Cotton Woven - 92% Cotton, 8% Spandex - 112cm wide - 145gsm - Woven fabric with a little stretch!

Ribbed Jersey - 95% Cotton 5% Spandex - 250gsm - 150cm Wide - Soft and squishy ribbed cotton lycra.

Polycotton Fleece is a Polyester Cotton blend with a smooth printable front into a sherpa-like sheep fluffy backing. 320gsm 55% Cotton 45% polyester 150cm wide

We recommend upon first washing that you use 2 or 3 colour catchers per load - wash your prints separately - sometimes a second or third wash may be required for dark navy and prints containing a lot of black ink.

All inks used in production are OEKOTEX100 Certified inks which are tested proven to not be harmful to people, animals or the environment.

Wash colours separately. Blacks with blacks, whites with whites.
